Privacy policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026. This policy explains what information clocktotals.com (“ClockTotals”, “we”) handles, why, and the choices you have. ClockTotals is operated by Sohail Manzoor. Contact: contact@clocktotals.com.

Summary

Information you enter in the calculators

Hours, clock times, pay rates, dates, birth dates and the optional life-expectancy answers (smoking, activity) are processed by JavaScript in your browser. They are not transmitted to ClockTotals or stored on any server we control.

Information stored in your browser

Two features use your browser's local storage on your own device. Nothing in it is sent to us, and you can delete it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

Share images, photos and printing

Some result pages let you download a result image, print it, or add your own photo to the image. The image is drawn in your browser; a photo you choose is read only by your browser to draw it and is never uploaded to ClockTotals or anyone else.

The share buttons (X, WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, Telegram, email) open that service in a new window with the page address and a short text about your result. What happens next is governed by that service's own privacy policy. We record in Google Analytics that a share button was used (for example “WhatsApp”), but not your result or any personal data.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand which pages are used and to improve the site. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not log or store), device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as a share or download button. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years.

We use Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are off by default and only switched on if you click “Accept all”. While consent is denied, Google may still receive cookieless, aggregate signals (such as a page view without identifiers) that are used for basic measurement. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising (planned)

ClockTotals may show ads through Google AdSense in the future. If ads are enabled:

This section will be updated, with the vendors involved, before ads are switched on.

Server logs

Our hosting provider and our content delivery network (Cloudflare) process standard request data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept by those providers for a limited period under their own policies; we do not use them to identify visitors.

Legal bases and your rights

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website for server logs. You can withdraw consent at any time with the Cookie settings button at the bottom of every page. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not hold calculator entries or accounts, most requests concern analytics data, which you can also control in your browser. To make a request, email us at the address above.

California and other US state residents: we do not sell personal information for money. If personalized ads are enabled in the future, we will provide the opt-out required by applicable state laws.

Children

ClockTotals is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We will update this page when the site's use of data changes and change the date at the top. See also the cookie policy, terms and disclaimer.
